Spielfrieks

Apparently this is an active Yahoo! group discussing many things about German board games, but none of this is visible to anyone except members. I read somewhere (probably Boardgamenews) that apparently this was an adminstrative error - that closing access to the group was unintentional, and that anyone who asks will be given membership access.
However, it is not immediately clear how or who to ask, and one would think that if they were truly active, and serious about expanding a lively community, they simply would fix the error. How hard could that be, really?
No kudos from this corner.

Once a Yahoo group has been closed (that is, made private), Yahoo doesn't allow it to be opened again because presumably people say things in closed groups that shouldn't be made public. Many people on Spielfrieks have debated what to do about this problem with no solution yet.

The front page of the Yahoo group (http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/spielfrieks/) does include instructions on how to join: "Interested in joining? Email us at spielfrieks-owner@yahoogroups.com"
